Dr. Kene Monplaisir is a pharmacist, nutritionist and lifestyle coach. She is your unconventional integrative health care professional with over 17 years in practice, who has found a way to merge conventional medicine and principles of functional medicine to help her clients achieve optimal health. 
Dr. Kene Monplaisir's drive to learn more about alternative approaches to helping people heal was triggered from seeing multiple patients earlier on, in her practice suffer from preventable sicknesses that required dozens of expensive prescription medications and from her loss of dear friends to lifestyle related diseases. She observed that majority of the health challenges that her patients faced were tied to dietary and lifestyle choices. This strongly informed her decision to embark on extensive research in nutrition and food science at Wayne State University, where she secured a Master of Science degree in this field of study and then pursued further training in clinical dietetics centered on medical nutrition therapy.
She has served as a Board member and Program Development Chair of the Michigan chapter of The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. She is a participating pharmacist on the Pharmacy and therapeutics committee of a major Pharmacy Benefit Management company. She has owned and functioned as the pharmacist-in-charge of three independent pharmacies in Michigan. She is the CEO of Acuitii, a tech startup that provides the ease of learning of health and medication information in a gamified fashion and the founder of Optimal Health Consulting.

She is on a mission to empower as many people as possible with evidence-based strategies to lead healthy vibrant lives. She believes that a healthy diet, a healthy attitude, sleep hygiene and regular exercise are vital to preventing many chronic diseases.
